CrossFit Open at The Gym Condell Park

The CrossFit Open is the world’s largest functional fitness competition and the starting point of the CrossFit Games season. Every year, hundreds of thousands of athletes across Australia and the globe take part, completing the same workouts using standard CrossFit equipment, submitting scores online, and comparing results worldwide.

At The Gym Condell Park, we prepare our community to enjoy the Open the right way: with structure, coaching, the right equipment, and an unbeatable atmosphere.

What is a CrossFit Open?

The CrossFit Open is a global online competition open to all levels. Over three weeks, athletes complete one workout per week — CrossFit Open 26.1, 26.2, and 26.3 — released every Friday. Each workout is scalable and performed with official CrossFit equipment, so beginners and experienced athletes can participate together.

What date is the CrossFit Open?

Many athletes ask about the CrossFit Open 2025 dates and what’s next with CrossFit Open 2026.
While official dates are announced closer to the event, the Open typically runs between February and March each year. The expected CrossFit Open 2026 dates will follow a similar window.

When does the 2026 CrossFit Open start?

The 2026 CrossFit Open officially kicks off in February.

Specifically, the announcement for the first workout (26.1) will be on Thursday, February 26, 2026.
Here is the official three-week Open schedule:
  • WOD 26.1: February 26 – March 2.
  • WOD 26.2: March 5 – March 9.
  • WOD 26.3: March 12 – March 16.
What happens in January is the start of registration (which opened on January 14, 2026). If you haven’t signed up yet, you can do so now to be ready when the action starts at the end of February.

CrossFit Open Workouts & Format

The official CrossFit Open workouts test a mix of:

  • Strength

  • Conditioning

  • Gymnastics

  • Skills and pacing

Over the years, the list of CrossFit Open workouts has included everything from simple AMRAPs to heavy lifts and high-skill movements, all performed using classic CrossFit equipment such as barbells, rigs, dumbbells, and cardio machines — always scalable, always challenging.

Leaderboard, Results & Global Ranking

Once scores are submitted, athletes can track their performance on the CrossFit Open leaderboard, compare with friends, their gym, Australia-wide rankings, and the global field. Reviewing past CrossFit Open results is one of the best ways to measure long-term progress and how effectively you’ve used your training and equipment over time.

Registration

Taking part is easy. Complete your CrossFit Open registration online, choose your division, and submit scores each week using approved CrossFit equipment. Our coaches handle judging standards, movement clarity, and pacing strategy so you can focus on performing.
